‘Be Original - Be Unique’
Barbara’s experience in media started with her degree in Film & Creative Writing. She then worked in a mix of studio spaces, wrote interviews for music magazines, ran her own events (DJ’d too) & hosted her own radio shows. Winning a radio competition resulted in a role in TV, where she worked as a full-time producer/presenter and voice over artist for a daily talk show (Record TV). She progressed to producing The Chrissy B Show, as co producer & senior producer. Turning over 12 VTs & 3 live shows weekly; script writing & guest sourcing. Barbara has worked on a mix of TV shows airing on Sky, producing and presenting both in studio, gallery and on location.
She then left to set up her own platform OnTrax and continued to develop her skills alongside freelancing as an independent producer. Barbara has worked with some amazing artists and talented individuals whilst on this adventure, filming in UK, Central America, United States and Barcelona.
OnTrax has won 2 awards; the first for music video Oohs and Ahhs which Barbara collected in LA 2018 and the second during the pandemic from Lux Magazine. OnTrax has also had regular show content aired on a mix of TV channels including London Live (from 2017-2022) and also runs production workshops. More about this here.
Barbara aimed for OnTrax to be accessible to all, so that small charities and independent artists could also benefit from creative video production services.
She promotes creative development, self-belief, empowerment, and motivation maintenance via her media platform whilst mentoring and training via zoom and through workshops & on-shoot production training.
In her spare time from a young age, she loved to write poetry, song write & rap and wants others to have a positive outlet too.
More recently Barbara has been doing freelance voice over and video production jobs with an eclectic mix of clients locally and globally, from Yoga Bag Promo to Youth, Community, Charity & Lifestyle interviews and event shoots. Also working in marketing too, for an all-rounded skill set of business growth and brand development!
She loves to grow ideas from nothing to something special!

Barbara’s vast expertise in video production has escalated over the years, whilst she worked as a producer/presenter with a camera operator/crew and editor but also self-shoots (on her Canon & has recently upgraded cameras so now has a 2 camera set up), interviews (off and on camera), films as a second camera operator as part of a crew and can rough-cut edit in Adobe Premier.
Barbara’s unique style of interviewing led to features in written magazines, video, TV (vox pox on the streets to studio sit-downs) radio and podcasts! She loves delving into deep conversation with the interviewees and creatives, teaching new tricks and to hopefully inspire the audience to be more positive in their lives and careers.
During the lockdowns, Barbara used the time to successfully develop her voice over work, which continues to grow, and she has an eclectic mix of clients promoting a vast range of topics such as TV/Radio/Podcast promo, entertainment apps, guided mediation, adverts for events, products and services to storytelling!
Pre TV – Barbara hosted (Presented/Mc’d/DJ’d) shows on community, hospital & pirate radio and was part of Nairobi Capital FM’s Barack Obama Election shows. She also ran and DJ’d at her own events which included Live Music Salsa evenings, a series of events she called ‘Lickle Partee’ (as a joint venture) playing Reggae/Motown/Soul music (with Carnival style food boxes) and also house and garage club nights.
When 11yrs old Barbara started writing poetry finding it a positive outlet. She had a poem published in the Young Readers’ Digest. This past time developed into song writing and she has made a few old school garage and acoustic tracks over the years!
